DG, LRD Meet, Kollam 

DG, LRD meet took place at Jaldarsini, Kollam at 11.30 am on 1 Nov 2009. The meeting was presided by  RD Yw.Susy Mathew. The RD examined the first semester dues payment and discussed the Regional Cultural programme. The meeting ended at 2.30 pm.

Regional Council Meet, Kundara 

The second Regional Council was held on 11th Oct 2009 at Hotel Nila Kundara. The council was chaired by the RD Yw Susy Mathew. IPIP Ym Bashir inaugurated the function. The Regional Directory and the Regional News letter were released on the occasion. The council passed the accounts presented by the IPRD. The council also approved the suggestion of holding the next Regional Council at Sharjah. See photos.

Cultural Meet: Vattiyoorkavu Sweeps Prizes

YMC Vattiyoorkavu won the District Cultural Trophy picking 109 points at the Cultural Meet held at YMCA, Trivandrum on 11 Oct 2009. YMC North with 52 points came second. Click here to see list of event-wise winners.See photos.

AP Reviews Activities of Districts

A conference of  RDs and DGs of the SWIR, MWIR and WIR took place on 27 Sep 2009 at Hotel International, Ernakulam at 11.30 AM. The Area President Ym. Rajan Panicker evaluated the activities of each district. AP(E), AS AB(E) were also present. See larger photos: 1 & 2.

District Menettes Meet at Nirmala Bhavan

28 Sep 2009: District II, organised a Y's Menettes Meet at Trivandrum Nirmala Bhavan School. A talk by Yw. Dr.Anitha Mohan, DG(E) and State Nutrition Officer on Healthy Living and a cooking session by Ymts. Susan, Jenymol and Mamey followed the formal function inaugurated by DG Ym. Dr. Abraham K Joshua in presence of the School Headmistress Sr. Treesa. See photos.

Quiz Programme on Road Safety

A quiz on road safety was organised at YMCA, Trivandrum on 13 Sep 09 by Y's Men International, SWIR, District II. Sri Shaji P. M., Motor Vehicle Inspector, was the quiz master and Ym Er Prasadu Varghese was the scorer. Five teams participated. It was a very interesting and informative programme and was well appreciated by all those who attended. The participants were Youths, Lings, Y's Men and Menettes. Prizes were distributed to the winners.

District II Youth Camp

A one-day Youth Camp was held on 13th Sept 2009 at YMCA, Trivandrum. The delegates and guests were welcomed by the DSD of Youth Activities Ym. Er. Reji Thomas and the camp was inaugurated by DG Ym. Dr. Abraham. K. Joshua at 10.30 AM. The camp focused on the development of the communication and study skills of the students.

Prof.Ninan Thomas, an expert on Neurolinguistic Programme (NLP) dealt with the communication skills and Ln Vice Governor Hariharan dealt with the study skills. Twenty four youths and eleven Y's men participated the Camp. DS Ym. Benny K. Mani proposed the vote of thanks and the camp came to a close at 4.30 PM.  See photos
