District II Cultural Meet: YMC North Emerge Champions, Vattiyoorkavu follows
7 Nov 2011: Clubs actively participated in the District II cultural meet at YMCA hall. YMC Trivandrum North with 75 points came first, followed by YMC Vattiyoorkavu with 45 points. Ym. Satheesh Chandran, DG of District III and Ym. Chellathangam, DGE of District II distributed the prizes to individual participants. See photos and more photos.
Earlier, District Governor, Ym. J Jayakumar had inaugurated the competition at 2:30 pm. The events came to a close by 7 pm with vote of thanks by District Secretary Ym. Prasanth Frederick.. District Services Director, Ymt. Lekha Satheesh had coordinated the event and its organization.

One-Day Picnic to Poovar Resort
13 Aug 2011, About 100 club members participated in the District picnic to Poovar resort, Isola Di Cocco. Cultural programmes were anchored by Renjith Oorakkudukku. See photos here.
DG installs officers at Kattakkada Central
06 Aug 2011, 7:30 pm: DG Ym. Er. J. Jayakumar installed the new officers at YMC Kattakkada Central. The previous year's team continues this year also, with Ym. Thomas Richard Pradeepam as President and Ym. A. Stephen as Secretary.
Among the guests were LRDE Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben, Past LRD Ym. KS Sethunath, IPDG Yw. Dr. Anitha Mohan, DS Ym. Prasanth Frederick, DT Ym. JR Salu and officers from sister clubs. Ylg. Ganga of YMC Vattiyoorkavu presented a classical dance number and Ylg. Prabhu of Kattakkada Central presented a few magic items after the formal function.
New team installed at Queens club
31 Jul 2011, 4:30 pm: LRD-Elect Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben installed the new office bearers of YMC Trivandrum Queens at a meeting held at SMC Mini Hall. Yw. Nisha is the new President, Yw. Salima Ben is the Vice President, Yw. Rasya Basheer is the Secretary, Yw. Leena Kurien is the Treasurer, Yw. Padma Thampy is the Y's Guy, and Yw. Jessey Harilal is the Bulletin Editor. Outgoing President Yw. Prema Frederick presided. Meeting was also attended by many senior leaders including the three district governors of Zone 1, namely Ym. Ajith Babu (District I), Ym. Satheesh Chandran Nair (District III), and Ym J. Jayakumar (District II), DS Ym. Prasanth Frederick, past LRDs, and office bearers of other clubs.
Installation at YMC Nagercoil (Royal)
 30 Jul 2011, 6:30 pm, Priyam Mandapam, Nagercoil: DG Ym. Er. J. Jayakumar installed the new team of office bearers. Past DG and LRDE Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben inducted new members.
Office bearers for 2011-12: Ym. Dr. Sagar Moses (President); Ym. Dr. Ebenesh Bensam (Vice President); Ym. Sabu Pon Kumar (Secretary); Ym. Wisely (Jt. Secy); Ym. Adv. P. Johnson (Treasurer); Ym. Dodley Fen (YMCA-related Secy); Ym. C. Johnson (Bulletin Editor); and Ym. Manohar (Y's Guy).
YMC Vattiyoorkavu instals new team
Ym. Jose Zachariah, LRD of Zone I, SWIR, installed the new team of officers at YMC Vattiyoorkavu on 24 July, 2011. The incoming officers are Ym. KG Satheesh Kumar, President, Y's Men's Club; Ym. Roy Paul Vazhakkala, Secretary, Y's Men's Club; Ym. Achuthan, Treasurer, Y's Men's Club; Ymt. Lekha Satheesh, President, Y's Menettes' Club; Ymt. Jenymol Abraham, Secretary, Y's Menettes' Club; Ylg. Sandra Prasad, President, Y's Lings' Club; and Ylg. Ganga Satheesh, Secretary, Y's Lings' Club.
The meeting was attended by Ym. Jayakumar, DG, Ym. Ajith Babu, DG (District I), Ym. Chellathankam, DGE, Prasanth Frederick, DS and leaders from various sister clubs.
In ternational Treasurer passes away
International Treasurer Ym T.M. Mathew passed away on 23 Jul 2011 at Kochi, India after a cardiac surgery. District II, SWIR expresses condolences.
First District Council Meeting
17 Jul 2011: The first District Council of District II was held at Sri Mulam Club at 3:30 pm. District Governor Ym. Er. J. Jayakumar welcomed the participants and LRD Ym. Jose Zachariah inaugurated. LRD Elect Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben delivered a speech on how club meetings can be made more effective and enjoyable. PRD Ym. SRJ Navakumar spoke on the new award criteria. PRD Ym. Josey Joseph outlined the various community services options, funds and projects. Yw. Salima Ben gave an account of menette activities planned for the year. Ym. Satheesh Kumar briefed on the district website and requested each club to identify one member to update web content regarding that club. District Secretary, Ym. Prasanth Frederick thanked all participants.
Mushroom Cookery Session
As part of menette activities, the district organised a cooking class on a variety of mushroom dishes at the residence of Ymt. Mamey Varghese.on 12 Jul 2011.

30 Oct 2011 YMC Trivandrum Kings Inaugurated
A new club has been born into the District II family. Ym. Rajan Panicker, Past Area President inaugurated the new YMC Trivandrum Kings at a well-participated function at Hotel Sabari Park, Poojappura. DG Ym. Jayakumar inducted members and LRD Ym. Jose Zachariah installed the new office bearers. Ym. Salu, District Treasurer was largely instrumental in finding the new members. The club was sponsored by YMC Trivandrum North.
Onam Celebrations
District Onam celebrations. 21 Sep 2011, 9:30 am onwards at Vyloppilly Samskrithi Bhavan, Trivandrum - cultural programs, onasadya and games.
Installation of Office-bearers at YMC Thiruvananthapuram (Lords)
15 Aug: Installation of YMC Thiruvananthapuram (Lords) officers at YMCA. PRD Ym. SRJ Navakumar inducted five new members. LRDE Ym. Dr. Churchin Ben installed the new team. DG Ym. J Jayakumar, Past LRD Yw. Molly Stanley and YMC Vattiyoorkavu President Satheesh Kumar felicitated. Ylg Ganga and Ym Salu sang songs. The meeting was followed by dinner.
